The Newmarket July Festival 2012 plans are well under way!
It will be a fantastic week packed full of great events for everyone. The Festival opens on Saturday 7 July with the Olympic torch procession coming through Newmarket, the Newmarket Carnival, Sun Lane Street Fayre plus lots of other activities. To mark the start of the festival in such a prestigious year of sporting events, we will be hosting a Festival Ball in the Millenium Grandstand at the Rowley Mile. This Gala Event will start with a champagne reception followed by a three course dinner, charity auction and live music and dancing. We are delighted to announce that our special guest at the Festival Ball will be Olympic Silver Medalist, former World Record Holder and BBC Commentator – STEVE CRAM MBE.
Other proposed events during the Festival week will be:
Flower Festival and Photography Competitions, Polo Match & Dog Show, Open evenings at Rossdales Equine Hospital and Newmarket Equine Hospital, a Comedy Night, Afternoon Tea & Tour at the Jockey Club, Tea Dancing, Equine Business Conference, Family Music Day, Cricket Match plus the three days of horseracing at the July Course.
